Senior Electrical Estimator - High Voltage

At Nebula Elec, we deliver critical high-voltage infrastructure across data centres, switchyards, and substations. We're scaling fast, and with that growth we now have the opportunity to welcome an estimator at a Senior level - someone who brings a first principles estimating approach to deliver our high voltage project pipeline.

Some insight into the role.

Based in our Wetherill Park office, you will take end-to-end ownership of our medium and high voltage pipeline, with a primary focus on HV Infrastructure like switchyards, substations, and major network connections. While we also handle broader civil and ASP scopes, your expertise will be dedicated to pricing complex, multi-tiered electrical scopes.

• Own the full estimating process across major MV/HV switchyard, substation, and data centre projects, from first scopes, to final tender submission, and project handover.

• Prepare comprehensive, technically accurate bids by pricing complex primary and secondary plant, switchgear, protection networks, and associated works.

• Develop pricing models through close, continuous collaboration with our internal engineering/project management team and suppliers.

• Conduct detailed risk and scope analysis on incoming specifications.

• Produce detailed quantity take-offs that reflect true project complexities.

• Participating in post-tender contract reviews, commercial reporting, and claims scoping as projects transition cleanly into the delivery phase.

• Drive the commercial capability of the business by building and refining scalable estimating processes and pricing tools as our pipeline grows.

• Attend client meetings, nurture these relationships and attend site visits as required.

Who we're looking for.

You have a proven track record pricing complex electrical tenders, desirably with exposure to high-voltage environments. Your technical background means you can comfortably work through utility specifications, evaluate protection schemes, and understand how projects are run.

You'll bring an Electrical or Engineering Qualification, or a solid technical trade background. We are looking for someone with 5+ years of experience working with estimating teams and who has put runs on the board pricing both infrastructure and smaller projects. You know what it takes to deliver bids in a structured, high-volume environment, have great communication and presentation skills, and bring a positive, practical attitude to the team.

Essential Requirements.

• Valid Australian Working Rights.

• Previous experience estimating within the Electrical Sector.

• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Strong proficiency in estimating software.

Remuneration on offer.

$170,000 – $190,000 + Superannuation. Are we open to negotiating? Sure! If your expectations sit outside of this range, let us know - we understand people bring different levels of experience and we're open to discussions within reason.
