Pastry Chef

Balgownie Estate are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pastry Chef to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and produce a range of pastries, cakes, desserts, breads and other baked goods.
• Ensure all products are prepared consistently to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Assist in the development and testing of new desserts and seasonal menu items.
• Produce desserts for restaurant service, functions, weddings and events.
• Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, taste and presentation.
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic Kitchen.
• Comply with all Food Safety Standards and workplace health and safety requirements.

Qualifications:

• You’ve mastered the basics — minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
• Experience in the pastry section will be highly regarded.
• You’re calm under pressure and can handle a fast-paced kitchen without losing your smile.
• You’re a team player and clear communicator.
• You have your own reliable transport to get to our stunning Yarra Valley location.
• You have full Australian working rights and can work weekends.
