Are you an organised and proactive accountant with a passion for Accounts Receivable? We're looking for a finance professional who enjoys building strong customer relationships, thrives on problem-solving, and wants to broaden their accounting experience in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow while supporting the wider finance function across reporting, compliance, reconciliations, and month-end activities.

About the Role

You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of Accounts Receivable function.

Investigate and resolve overdue accounts by identifying root causes, liaising with customers and internal stakeholders, and driving issues through to resolution.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

• Manage debt collection and follow up outstanding accounts to maintain a healthy debtor ledger.

• Build positive relationships with customers through regular communication and payment discussions, drive and resolve payment issues.

• Process customer payments, including over-the-phone transactions.

• Conduct credit checks, PPSR registrations and establish new customer accounts.

• Monitor customer credit limits and manage associated risks.

• Resolve disputed transactions by liaising with internal teams and external customers. 

Finance Support

• Support financial reporting and transaction processing.

• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities associated with Accounts Receivable and Bank Reconciliations.

• Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations. 

About You

You'll be a motivated accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy and customer service.

You'll be self-motivated, hold strong problem-solving skills and have the ability to take ownership of complex accounts receivable matters with minimal supervision.

We're looking for someone with:

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting.

• CPA studies completed or currently underway (or a desire to commence).

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a medium-sized organisation.

• Experience using ERP systems (NetSuite experience will be highly regarded).

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.

• The ability to prioritise competing deadlines while working collaboratively with colleagues and customers.
