Clinical Informatics Support Officer

•    $92,856 - $102,653 (pro-rata for part time) + salary packaging + super + 5 weeks annual leave

About The EMR team
The Informatics team is responsible for the day-to-day management, operation and improvement of the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). The team liaises with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders of the EMR and works collaboratively with the four Health Services and the Parkville EMR team to deliver outcomes that can benefit patients and staff.

The Parkville EMR is a world-class system shared by The Royal Women’s Hospital, The Royal Melbourne Hospital, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and The Royal Children’s Hospital to support high-quality, seamless healthcare in Parkville and improve health outcomes for Victorians. 

The EMR is used by more than 18,000 clinicians and staff across the four health services and is delivered in partnership with Epic, a global leader in health information technology.  

About the role
As an Clinical Informatics Support Officer you will deliver daily support for the Electronic Medical Record and clinical systems, assists with user training co-ordination and training delivery to end users in a variety of settings. You will also contribute to workflow improvements, system upgrades, and project work, while collaborating with teams to ensure safe and efficient digital application use.

A regular day will see you:

• Coordinate onboarding requirements for new staff, students, non-employees and existing staff requiring EMR access and training.
• Provide first-line and escalated support for EMR training/access issues, and user queries/requests
• Maintain the Learning Management System (WISE) and associated training records to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
• Assist with the preparation of reports, metrics and insights to support operational and compliance requirements.

About you

You’ll bring with you:

• Experience supporting EMRs, clinical information systems or healthcare applications.
• Demonstrated end-user support and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience providing training and end user suppot in various settings, such as classrooms, bedside and 1:1 in varied clinical settings
• Experience coordinating training, onboarding or education activities.
