About Us

The Bacena Group is a fast-growing private credit and property development business. Based in modern offices in Sydneys CBD. We're now looking for a hands-on Senior Accountant who wants to make an impact, take responsibility, and grow with the business.

What You'll Do

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll be supporting the day-to-day finance function, including:

• Day-to-day responsibility for the accounting and financial operations of the property business.

• Supporting general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end processes

• Overseeing AP/AR transactions and helping to manage cash flow

• Preparing NAV report, Expected Credit Loss Calculation and Cash Need Calculation.

• Preparing monthly and annual reporting including forecasting

• Understand GST Grouping, Tax Consolidation Group, Reduce Input Tax Credit and etc.

• Supporting private credit and property business by building and maintaining cost models

• Managing BAS, PAYG, tax, and regulatory filings

• Managing Company Secretary activities for the Group

• Implementing system upgrades and process improvements

• Documenting Finance procedures and controls

• Supporting engagement with external Auditors

• Other ad-hoc duties as and when required

What You’ll Bring

Accounting qualification (CA/CPA preferred) or relevant degree with strong experience.

• Solid knowledge of financial operations and reporting

• Sharp attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

• Strong Excel skills

• Comfortable optimising and leveraging financial systems

• A proactive attitude – you’ll enjoy working both independently and as part of a team

Bonus Points For

• Experience working with Oracle Netsuite or equivalent accounting packages. Please advise in your cover letter if you have used Oracle Netsuite before.

• Background working in private credit accounting

• Experience working as an auditor in finance industry

• Familiarity with Company Secretary activities

• Exposure to system implementation or process improvement activities
