About the role

Working closely with the Department Manager you will help oversee the department’s daily operations while maintaining the premium standards our customers know and expect.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, cutting and presenting premium meat products

• Supporting the Department Manager with daily department operations

• Leading and supervising the team in the manager’s absence

• Providing knowledgeable, engaging and personalised customer service

• Maintaining exceptional product quality, freshness and presentation

• Assisting with ordering, stock rotation, merchandising and waste control

• Ensuring food safety, hygiene and workplace safety standards are consistently met

• Training, supporting and motivating team members

• Helping create the unique food-shopping experience Adelaide’s Finest is known for

About you

You will be a qualified butcher who is passionate about quality produce, skilled craftsmanship and memorable customer service.

You will also bring:

• A recognised trade qualification in butchery

• Strong experience as a qualified butcher

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience, or readiness to take the next step

• Excellent knife skills and meat product knowledge

• A genuine passion for premium-quality food

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• A hands-on, positive and dependable approach

• The ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment

• Availability to work a flexible roster, including weekends as required
