About the role

As an Applications Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring Perth Airport's critical business applications are secure, reliable, and optimised to support daily operations. Combining technical expertise with exceptional customer service, you'll manage and enhance both cloud-based and on-premises systems while serving as the Technology lead for the Workday HCM platform. From configuration and integrations to security and lifecycle management, you'll help deliver innovative, high-performing solutions that enable business success across the organisation.This is a 12 month fixed term contract

 Some of the key responsibilities for this role include:

• Administer and optimise Workday and other critical business applications across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Manage Workday security, integrations, platform updates, and system performance to ensure reliability and compliance.

• Provide expert technical support, troubleshooting, and advice to stakeholders, vendors, and business users.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and data integration opportunities across the business.

• Support cyber security, disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance activities to protect critical systems and data.

• Contribute to projects, major incident management, and on-call support to ensure the ongoing availability of business-critical applications.

About you

You are a customer-focused Applications Specialist with proven experience supporting enterprise platforms, ideally including Workday. You combine strong technical expertise with excellent problem-solving skills and enjoy building trusted relationships with stakeholders across the business. With a proactive mindset and a passion for continuous improvement, you thrive in complex environments and are committed to delivering secure, reliable, and high-performing technology solutions

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in administering enterprise applications and systems

• Infrastructure with a sound understanding of Workday.

• Tertiary and relevant application qualifications desired, for example; Computer Science Degree, SQL, M365, AWS/Azure, PRINCE2, ITIL4 or other vendor certifications.

• Excellent stakeholder management with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.

• Excellent time management skills with the ability to self-prioritise work and maintain quality. Plans proactively and is systematic in approach to tasks.
