About the role

We are currently seeking a creative and enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Assistant to join our team at NightOwl. This exciting generalist role is ideal for mid-career marketing professional who is passionate about digital media, marketing, communications, and brand storytelling.

You’ll work closely with the Marketing team, contributing to a high-performance team environment and supporting a wide range of marketing activities across our national network of stores. This role is based at our Franchise Support Office in Kangaroo Point and offers exposure to both strategic and hands-on marketing function, with the opportunity to assist across campaigns, communications, design, digital content and day-to-day marketing priorities.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a creative mindset and foundational design skills, with experience using Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe InDesign and Photoshop. You will have a keen eye for design and be eager to build your experience creating engaging marketing collateral and supporting brand communications across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service (OwlClub): Provide customer service through phone, email or social media as needed.

• Google Business Listing monitoring and replies: Manage Google listings for all network stores.

• Store information update requests: Store hours and/or other key info changed across the website/app/Social Media/Google.

• Store / AM requests: Action requests from both Store Managers and Area Managers for assistance in the areas of Designing, Printing & Laminating A4 POS, LED new signage requests, Flyer artwork & printing, Newspaper ad creation etc

• Promotion Period Digital Art: Every promo change create all the Digital POS for the “My Offers” app tab, store CFD’s, and the Offers Page on the website. Create digital banners and headers for the NightOwl Website and app home page.

• Campaign management: Assist the Marketing team with the creation, coordination and delivery of campaigns.

• Social Media Management: Assist with the day-to-day management of social media channels, including scheduling content, creating and coordinating posts, monitoring engagement and responding to comments and messages where required.

• PR / Copy writing: Manage NightOwl Public Relations – work with journalists to promote the company – write and have published articles for external audiences and / or internally for Franchisees.

• Weekly Comms: Collate, design and distribute marketing comms for the network.

• Digital screen management: Manage digital creatives revolving on store screens.

• Events: Assist to create and deliver an annual business conference.

• Provide marketing assistance: Provide general day-to-day assistance to the Marketing Manager and wider Marketing team across projects, campaigns and priorities as needed.

To be successful:

• 2+ years’ experience in marketing and/or communications

• Experience with design tools Adobe Indesign creative suite and photoshop (highly regarded)

• Graphic design experience for flyers and presentations (highly regarded)

• Provide regular updates on marketing projects and priorities.

• Participate in team meetings and contribute with insights.

• Collaborate to enhance digital strategies and outcomes.

• Self-starter with strong time management skills.

• Support team members to achieve marketing goals.

• Nurture & build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.

• Be a strong team player.

• Be adaptable and willing to assist across a broad range of marketing tasks as priorities arise.

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
