Into the Wild Adventures partners with local communities and services to deliver safe, impactful, and inclusive experiences for participants.Role Description The Youth Support Worker will provide remote support and guidance to young people engaged in Into the Wild Adventures programs. This contract role involves maintaining regular communication with participants, offering mentoring, and assisting them in setting and working toward personal goals. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with youth services and social support networks, documenting interactions and progress, and contributing to the planning of program activities that encourage wellbeing and life skills. The Youth Support Worker will collaborate with the wider team to ensure that services are accessible, inclusive, and aligned with organizational values, while working flexibly and independently in a remote environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Youth Work and Youth Services to support and engage young people effectively.Candidates should possess skills in Social Work and Youth Mentoring to provide structured guidance and support.Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact clearly and respectfully with young people, families, and partner organizations.Relevant experience working with young people in community, education, or support settings.Knowledge of safeguarding principles and risk management when working with youth.Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time well, and maintain accurate records.Relevant qualifications or training in youth work, social work, community services, or a related field are highly regarded.Current working-with-children clearance and adherence to local regulatory requirements (or ability to obtain).
