Family Lawyer

Why this Role is DifferentAt HNT, you will work closely with a Senior Family Solicitor, a highly strategic family lawyer who handles a wide range of matters - from complex parenting disputes and/or complex financial cases. You will gain hands-on experience, develop advocacy confidence, and build strong drafting skills from the start.
You will be trusted to run your own files (with support), not micromanaged and given genuine opportunities to grow your career in a firm that's expanding.
What you will be doingYou will work across a diverse range of family law matters and be actively involved in:Managing your own matters with appropriate supervisionDrafting Court documents including Initiating Applications and AffidavitsPreparing financial disclosure and evidenceAttending Court, mediations and concilitationsBriefing and liaising with CounselConducting legal researchMeeting directly with clietns and guiding them through difficult situations
Who this Role SuitsThis role is ideal for a solicitors with at least +2 years PQE who:Has had 2+ years experience in family law;Has a strong interest in building a career in family law;Wants hand-on responsiblity, not just administrative tasks;Is confident, motivated and eager to develop advocacy and strategy skills;Has strong communication and drafting ability;Can work both indpendently and collaboratively;Is organised, detailed-focused and proactive.
