Assistant Director - Data Reporting / Business Analysis

The Digital Products and System Enhancements section is seeking highly motivated and analytical candidates to fill a range of senior roles across business analysis, data reporting, and business improvement functions. Working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, successful candidates will lead complex reporting, analysis, system enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives that support the Community Grants Hub's operational and strategic objectives.

Depending on the role, responsibilities may include leading the analysis of business needs, overseeing requirements definition and solution design, identifying opportunities for business transformation and process improvement, developing reporting and data strategies and solutions, interpreting complex information, and delivering insights that support evidence-based decision-making.

• lead the analysis, design, development and continuous improvement of reporting, data, business intelligence and digital solutions that support operational and strategic objectives
• build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand business priorities, provide authoritative advice, and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions aligned with policy, business and user requirements
• lead complex business analysis activities, including requirements definition, process analysis, solution design, and the identification of opportunities for innovation, transformation and continuous improvement
• lead the development, analysis and presentation of complex data, performance information and strategic insights to inform executive decision-making, organisational planning and business outcomes
• lead the delivery of projects, system enhancements, automation initiatives and business improvement activities, ensuring effective governance, risk management and the achievement of quality outcomes
• provide expert advice and strategic guidance on data, reporting, digital products, system functionality, grants administration processes, emerging technologies and business improvement opportunities
• identify, investigate and resolve complex business, system and data issues, driving improvements to efficiency, usability, compliance, performance and service delivery outcomes
• lead, mentor and develop staff, foster a high-performing and collaborative team culture, and build capability across the section to support organisational objectives.
