Powder Coating Coordinator

At Alspec, we're passionate about delivering quality aluminium products and exceptional customer service. As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an organised and proactive Powder Coating Coordinator to join our Brisbane team.

This is a pivotal role where you'll coordinate production schedules, manage powder inventory, and work closely with our Paintline, Warehouse, Purchasing and Sales teams to ensure customer orders are delivered accurately and on time.

About the Role..

Reporting to the Paintline Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administration and scheduling of our powder coating operations, ensuring production runs efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production schedules for the powder coating line to maximise efficiency and meet customer delivery requirements.
• Ensure all production orders are correctly processed, scheduled and supported by the required documentation.
• Manage urgent production requests and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders
• Monitor powder inventory levels, coordinate ordering and maintain accurate stock records.
• Complete monthly stocktakes of powder inventory.
• Maintain accurate production data, including powder run sheets and quality records.
• Complete warranty documentation, testing records and filing requirements.
• Liaise with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse and Production teams to resolve workflow issues and maintain production efficiency.
• Communicate production lead times, delays and supply issues to internal stakeholders and other branches
• Support quality assurance activities, including warranty testing and reporting.
• Promote safe work practices and contribute to a positive team environment.
• Respond to emails and customer enquiries on time.

About You..

You are highly organised, enjoy working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and thrive when coordinating multiple priorities. You have excellent communication skills and enjoy working collaboratively across different departments.

To be successful, you will have:

• Experience coordinating production schedules or working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent time management and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• A customer-focused approach with the ability to build strong internal relationships.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment.
• The ability to safely lift up to 20kg (or work towards this requirement).
• Previous experience within the aluminium, building products or industrial distribution industry.
• Experience handling or working around industrial chemicals.
• Exposure to quality assurance processes and production reporting.
