PM Warehouse Operations Manager

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and experienced PM Warehouse Operations Manager to join our Cold Store team in Forrestfield.

You will be responsible for leading and supporting the PM shift team, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely completion of all nightly warehouse operations. This fast-paced role is accountable for the accurate receipt, storage, dispatch, and data capture of freight movements through our temperature-controlled warehouse facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and allocate nightly operational activities across the PM shift team.

• Lead, motivate, and support team members to achieve operational targets.

• Assist with the receiving, storage, staging, and loading of freight.

• Ensure all freight is loaded in accordance with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation and company requirements.

• Manage employee break schedules and ensure compliance with workplace policies.

• Verify that all MHE (Material Handling Equipment) pre-start inspections are completed accurately.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in operational documentation, including load plans, manifests, and consignment notes.

• Liaise with internal stakeholders to rectify operational and administrative issues.

• Ensure all employee paperwork is completed accurately, signed off correctly, and meets compliance requirements.

• Maintain accountability for documentation quality and operational standards.

• Escalate and report non-conformances to management in a timely manner.

• Complete comprehensive end-of-shift handover reports for the day shift team.

• Promote and demonstrate safe work practices while maintaining a safe working environment.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across warehouse operations.

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• A strong commitment to workplace safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably within refrigerated warehousing, cold storage, or transport operations.

• Proven experience within the warehousing and transport industry, ideally involving perishable goods and temperature-controlled logistics.

• Current High Risk Work Forklift Licence.

• Sound understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements and warehouse compliance standards.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

• Outstanding time management and multitasking skills.

• Ability to work effectively in cold room environments.

• Intermediate computer skills and experience with warehouse management systems (desirable).
