Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator | 2:1 | FIFO | Full Time | Brisbane, QLD

Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily inspection, operation, and maintenance of water treatment plant systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

As a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator, you will:

• Inspect, service, and repair water treatment plant components, including water intakes, pipelines, storage vessels, chemical treatment equipment, circulation pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, valves, and associated controls.
• Support the maintenance and operation of filtration and chemical treatment processes.
• Monitor plant performance and arrange servicing and major repairs in a timely manner.
• Conduct water sampling and testing in accordance with operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, reports, and maintenance records.
• Carry out general maintenance duties and other tasks as required.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• NWP30222 Certificate III in Water Industry Operations (mandatory).
• A current Open Manual C Class Driver's Licence.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience operating a water treatment plant.
• Experience with water sampling and testing techniques.
• Knowledge of water and sanitation systems management.
• Strong maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

The following would be highly regarded:

• Current vaccination against Hepatitis A and Hepatitis B.
• Previous experience working in remote or industrial environments.
• Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and teamwork.
