Head Chef - Parramatta Café

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team at our busy café in Parramatta. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and organised chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in quality, consistency and team culture.

About the Role

As Head Chef, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, lead and support the kitchen team, maintain high food standards and ensure the smooth running of service. You will play a key role in menu execution, stock control, food safety and creating a positive, efficient working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, train and support the kitchen team

• Manage daily food preparation and service

• Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation and consistency

• Oversee stock ordering, wastage control and kitchen costs

• Ensure food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards are met

• Assist with menu planning, specials and seasonal updates

• Manage kitchen rosters and workflow

• Work closely with management to keep the kitchen running smoothly

About You

• Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Chef in a busy café or hospitality venue

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Calm, organised and reliable under pressure

• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen operations

• Passionate about great food, quality service and team culture
