Permanent Part‑Time Night Shift Security Officer

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Permanent Part‑Time Night Shift Security Officer to join our team at a health facility. This role currently covers two night shifts per week, with strong potential to progress into a full‑time position as operations expand.

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment overnight, providing professional support to staff and visitors and responding confidently to incidents as they arise. The position requires a high level of communication, situational awareness and the ability to work independently throughout the night.

Shift Details:

• 8:00pm - 8:00am

• Thursday and Friday nights

• Permanent part‑time (pathway to full‑time)

• Competitive pay rates including night penalties

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol the facility to ensure safety and security

• Respond to incidents professionally and effectively

• Apply de‑escalation techniques to manage challenging situations

• Complete accurate incident reports and handover notes

• Provide support to staff, visitors, and contractors

• Maintain a calm and professional presence at all times

About You:

• Previous security experience (essential)

• Strong communication skills

• Proficient in de‑escalation techniques

• Healthcare security experience highly regarded

• Ability to work independently for long night shifts

• Current WA Security Officer Licence

• Reliable, well‑presented, and confident in decision‑making
