FUNERAL DIRECTORS ASSISTANT

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and well‑presented individual to join our team as a Funeral Director’s Assistant. This position suits someone who is calm under pressure, comfortable working in a hands‑on environment, and able to support families during difficult moments.

You will work across the metropolitan area, with a strong focus on south‑of‑the‑river and central locations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting with funerals in a respectful & professional manner

• Driving funeral vehicles, including hearses & limousines

• Supporting grieving families with sensitivity & care

• Handling deceased persons with dignity & respect

• Helping with additional tasks as required

This is a full‑time 38‑hour role worked between 7:00am and 6:00pm Monday to Friday, with overtime available & additional weekend or evening work as needed to support funeral services.

Requirements:

• Genuine commitment to exceptional service delivered with compassion & professionalism

• Ability to remain calm in emotionally challenging situations

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

• Reliable, flexible, & cooperative team player

• Discreet, with the ability to maintain confidentiality

• Physically fit - manual lifting is a daily requirement 

• Clean and valid WA Drivers Licence (non - provisional)

• Full Australian Residency

• National Police Clearance (issued within the past 12 months)

• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
