Medical Receptionist – Vision Radiology Dandenong

Vision Radiology is seeking a friendly, professional and highly organised Full-Time Medical Receptionist to join our Dandenong team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy healthcare environment and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care and customer service.

Dari language skills are highly desirable for this position, as our Dandenong clinic regularly supports patients from the Dari-speaking community. The ability to communicate confidently and compassionately with patients in their preferred language will be highly valued.

About the Role

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be an important first point of contact for our patients and will work closely with our clinical and administration teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting patients and providing a warm, welcoming and professional experience

• Booking and coordinating patient appointments

• Answering telephone enquiries and assisting patients with their queries

• Communicating appointment information clearly with patients

• Processing patient information, referrals and payments

• Checking and updating patient details accurately

• Providing administrative support to the clinical team

• Liaising with patients, referrers, radiologists, sonographers and other clinical staff

• Managing a busy reception area and prioritising competing tasks

• Maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

• Working collaboratively with the wider Vision Radiology team

• Ensuring patients receive an exceptional level of service throughout their visit

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Professional and confident when communicating with patients

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a busy medical reception environment

• Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure

• Reliable, punctual and committed to providing excellent service

• Confident using computers and learning new systems

• Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team

• Respectful and comfortable communicating with people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds

Ideally, You Will Have:

• Previous medical reception, healthcare administration or customer service experience

• Experience using medical booking or practice management systems is highly regarded

• Dari language skills are highly desirable

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

• A genuine interest in providing a positive patient experience

Medical imaging experience is advantageous, however full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Training Provided

We understand that every new team member needs time to learn our systems and processes.

Comprehensive training will be provided, with initial training in Melbourne where required. For eligible applicants travelling from outside Melbourne for training, travel and accommodation will be covered by Vision Radiology.
