From our Melbourne workshop, we design, build and assemble bespoke photo booths tailored to each client and project. With no two builds exactly the same, our work combines craftsmanship, creativity and practical problem-solving to produce high-quality finished booths.

The Role

We are looking for a practical, hands-on Creative Fabricator / Photo Booth Builder to join our growing team. You will be involved in the end-to-end build of bespoke photo booths, from interpreting plans and preparing materials through to fabrication, assembly, finishing and final installation.

Interstate travel will also form part of the role from time to time, giving you the opportunity to travel with the team and install completed photo booths at client locations around Australia.

This role would suit someone from a carpentry, cabinet making, building, shopfitting, set building or fabrication background who enjoys creating custom pieces rather than repetitive production work.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and assemble custom photo booths from start to finish.

• Work with timber, plywood, MDF, laminate and other fabrication materials.

• Cut, shape, route, sand, assemble and finish booth components.

• Interpret technical drawings, plans, sketches and measurements.

• Build frames, panels, cabinetry and custom components as required.

• Install hardware, fixtures, fittings and finishing elements.

• Safely operate workshop machinery, hand tools and power tools.

• Conduct quality checks throughout the build process.

• Assist with packing, transport and on-site installation of completed photo booths.

To Secure the Role, We Are Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in carpentry, cabinet making, building, shopfitting, fabrication or a similar hands-on trade.

• Strong practical building and assembly skills.

• Confidence using workshop machinery, hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and measurements.

• Experience working with timber, sheet materials and other building products.

• Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.

• Ability to adapt to different booth designs and custom build requirements.

• Willingness and ability to travel interstate periodically for installations.

A relevant trade qualification is highly regarded but not essential for the right person with strong practical experience.
