Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time depending on position
Salary Range: $52,000 – $95,000 per annum + superannuation, depending on position and experience
New Store Opening: October 2026

About Us

Founded in Seoul in 2017, Knotted is an internationally recognised dessert brand with over 40 stores across Korea, two in the US, and a growing presence in Australia.

Following the launch of our Burwood store in 2025, we're excited to open our next location near Hyde Park in October 2026. We're known for our signature cream-filled donuts, specialty coffee, handcrafted pastries, and warm, friendly hospitality.

We’re Hiring for Multiple Positions

We're building our Hyde Park opening team and looking for passionate, reliable, and experienced hospitality professionals across our pastry kitchen, management, and front-of-house teams.

Current Opportunities

• Head Pastry Chef (95K + Superannuation) Negotiable

• Sous Pastry Chef (80K + Superannuation)

• Pastry Chef (70K + Superannuation)

• Assistant Manager ($35/hr + Superannuation)

• Shift Supervisor ($32/hr + Superannuation)

• Barista ($28/hr + Superannuation)

• Cafe All-Rounder ($26.44/hr + Superannuation)

Pastry Kitchen Roles

For our Head Pastry Chef, Sous Pastry Chef, and Pastry Chef positions, we're looking for experienced pastry professionals who take pride in producing high-quality products with consistency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing and producing donuts, pastries, creams, fillings, glazes, and other baked goods.

• Maintaining product quality, flavour, portioning, and presentation.

• Following and managing daily production schedules.

• Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and kitchen organisation.

• Monitoring ingredients, inventory, yields, and wastage.

• Training and supporting pastry team members.

• Contributing to new and seasonal product development.

• Leading pastry kitchen operations and team development for senior positions.

Relevant commercial pastry or bakery experience is required depending on the position. A degree, diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification in Pastry Arts, Patisserie, Baking, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.

Management & Supervisor Roles

For our Assistant Manager and Shift Supervisor positions, we're looking for confident hospitality leaders who can support the team and maintain smooth, efficient store operations.

Responsibilities may include:

• Leading and supporting team members during daily operations.

• Delivering excellent customer service and hospitality.

• Training, onboarding, and developing team members.

• Managing opening and closing procedures.

• Supporting POS operations and cash handling.

• Monitoring stock and inventory.

• Maintaining food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards.

• Resolving customer and operational issues.

Previous leadership experience in a busy café, bakery, restaurant, or similar hospitality environment is preferred.

Barista & Cafe All-Rounder Roles

We're looking for energetic, friendly, and customer-focused team members who enjoy working in a busy café environment.

Responsibilities may include:

• Preparing and serving coffee and other beverages.

• Taking customer orders and operating the POS system.

• Providing friendly and efficient customer service.

• Serving and presenting Knotted products.

• Maintaining clean and organised service areas.

• Restocking products and supplies.

• Supporting opening and closing procedures.

• Working collaboratively across different areas of the store.

Previous café or hospitality experience is preferred. For Barista positions, espresso preparation, milk steaming, grinder adjustment, and latte art experience are highly regarded.
