About the role

Southern Pines Farms is seeking an experienced Harvest Truck Driver to join our team. This is a vital seasonal position based in Marion Bay, SA 5575, where you will play a key role in the transportation of our agricultural produce. Your expertise in operating harvest vehicles and managing logistics will be essential to ensuring our crops reach their destination safely and efficiently during peak harvest periods.

What you'll be doing

• Operating and maintaining harvest truck and associated equipment in line with safety standards and company protocols

• Transporting harvested produce from the field to storage facilities, processing plants or designated distribution points

• Ensuring loads are properly secured and organised to prevent damage to crops during transit

• Conducting pre and post-operation vehicle inspections and reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements

• Maintaining accurate records of loads, routes, and delivery times as required

• Adhering to all road safety regulations and company safety procedures at all times

• Communicating effectively with farm staff, supervisors to coordinate efficient harvest operations

• Supporting the harvest team by assisting with loading procedures when required

What we're looking for

• A current, valid multiple combination (MC) truck licence appropriate for the vehicle you will operate

• Proven experience operating large agricultural or harvest trucks in a farming environment

• Strong knowledge of vehicle safety checks, maintenance procedures and road transport regulations

• Excellent spatial awareness and the ability to manoeuvre large vehicles in field and rural conditions

• A genuine commitment to health and safety practices and workplace protocols

• Physical fitness to handle the demands of harvest season work, including early starts and long hours

• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with farm staff

• Reliability and punctuality, particularly during peak harvest periods

• Preferably, previous experience in harvest operations or seasonal agricultural work
