Sales Representative & Business Development

About the role

This is a straightforward sales role focused on contacting prospective clients, generating new opportunities and following up leads using Ashburton's in-house CRM system.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outbound cold calling to prospective clients
• Undertake door-to-door sales and visit prospective businesses
• Introduce Ashburton and our certification services to potential clients
• Identify and speak with relevant business owners, managers and decision-makers
• Generate new sales leads and opportunities
• Follow up prospective clients by phone and email
• Follow up quotations and existing sales opportunities
• Use Ashburton's in-house CRM to record calls, leads, notes and follow-up activities
• Keep CRM records accurate and up to date
• Work towards agreed weekly and monthly sales targets

About you

• Confident and comfortable speaking with people
• Comfortable making cold calls
• Willing to undertake door-to-door sales
• Friendly and professional communication style
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Comfortable working towards sales targets
• Good basic computer skills
• Organised and consistent with follow-ups
• Able to use an in-house CRM system
• Previous sales experience preferred but not essential
