We are currently offering a fantastic opportunity for Floor Finishers based at our NSW Office. You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality works within Switchroom builds and associated projects. This includes installation of structural and non-structural components, fit outs, and finishings for a wide range of projects across industries such as mining, renewables, utilities, and infrastructure.

We offer full-time permanent employment and short-term 3-6 months' non-ongoing contracts with above-award pay rates fully guaranteed under current workplace regulations. KEY RESULT AREAS WHS:

Work in a safe manner using appropriate SWMS, Risk Assessments, or Safety Operating Procedures Notify supervisor or safety committee delegate immediately of any hazards in the workplace and monitor corrective actions Take all reasonable care for the health and safety of all people and the environment at work.

Key Responsibilities: Reading plans and instructions of specific projects Measuring areas to be covered and consulting plans to estimate quantities of floor covering materials required

Preparing surfaces for covering and removing baseboard trims Install CFC flooring, steel frames, trusses, wall and roof panels, cladding, flashings, and custom doors Install Fyrecheck/Ballistic sheeting as required by project specifications

Interpret drawings and work off sketches Perform quality checks on finished products Laying coverings, such as wood, carpets, linoleum, parquetry blocks, cork tiles and other resilient flooring materials, over floors, matching patterns, cutting shapes around fixtures and trimming edges

Securing floor coverings and fitting edge trims in doorways Use a range of workshop machinery, hand tools, and power tools safely and effectively Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness of the workplace and site to 5S standard

Provide high-quality workmanship on time and on budget Liaise with leading hand to set priorities for deliverables Attend and contribute to team meetings at Nepean Power and on-site if required

Identify customer requirements and ensure work meets agreed specifications. Skills, Knowledge & Abilities: Ability to interpret drawings and schematics

Organisational and time management skills Workshop machinery, hand tools, and power tools relevant to carpentry Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Strong attention to detail and the ability to conduct quality checks on completed work Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Interpersonal and communication skills Safe operation of carpentry tools, equipment, and machinery Customer service focus

Flexibility and adaptability to varied project requirements. Education, Qualifications, and Experience Must possess relevant qualifications
