Opportunities exist for talented and enthusiastic Clinical Midwife and Staff Development Nurse / Midwife to join the team in Broome.

The Clinical Midwife / Staff Development Midwife is responsible for providing advanced, evidence-based midwifery care while leading education, training and workforce development initiatives within maternity and nursing services.

The role combines advanced clinical midwifery practice with responsibility for orientating, supporting, mentoring and developing nursing and midwifery staff, students and graduates. The position promotes excellence in clinical practice, supports quality and safety initiatives, facilitates learning and professional development, and contributes to the delivery of safe, effective and woman-centred healthcare services.

The occupant of this position is expected to demonstrate leadership, professionalism and a commitment to organisational values, quality improvement, workforce capability and continuous learning.
