Delivery Driver

Queensland Steel House Frames is a premier manufacturer and distributor of residential steel framing. We supply top-tier builders across Southeast QLD and Northern NSW. Operating out of a brand-new factory with state-of-the-art equipment, we pride ourselves on a supportive, high-energy team culture.

We are seeking a reliable, physically fit Ute Delivery Driver to transport prefabricated steel house frames and associated building hardware (brackets, fixings, noggins, beams and accessories) from our yard directly to residential construction sites. This role utilizes a standard company utility vehicle (ute) and does not require a heavy vehicle licence.

Job Responsibilities

• Transport steel components: Safely deliver steel wall frames, components, and loose hardware kits ("bips and bops") to local building sites.
• Secure loads: Load the ute tray or rack system efficiently, utilizing heavy-duty ratchets and straps to ensure all steel frames and parts are tightly secured for transport.
• Site drop-offs: Navigate residential construction sites safely and coordinate with Dispatch to unload materials in designated, safe zones.
• Verify delivery: Cross-check physical stock against delivery paperwork before leaving the yard and secure confirmation on-site.
• Maintain the vehicle: Perform prestart checks on the ute (tyres, fluids, straps) and keep the vehicle clean and tidy.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s Licence: Current manual car driver's licence.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to lifting, carry, and manually move heavy steel framing components and heavy boxes of hardware.
• Construction Awareness: A current Construction Induction Card (White Card) is required to safely enter active building sites.
• Reliability: Strong time-management skills to ensure deliveries arrive on schedule.

Work Hours & Schedule

• Standard Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
• Flexibility: Hours may vary daily depending on specific delivery locations and traffic.
• Overtime: Some overtime will be required to ensure daily site drops are completed.

Pay: $33.05 – $35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
