Restaurant Manager for new Italian in Miami

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join the team at Sylv’s Italian in Miami, QLD. This is a full-time, salary position that will suit someone that is excited about joining a fast paced, fun, experienced team. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional service standards, managing staff, and driving business profitability. You will play a pivotal role in creating an outstanding dining experience for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all daily restaurant operations, including service delivery, kitchen coordination and front-of-house management

• Manage, recruit, train and supervise restaurant staff to ensure high performance and exceptional customer service

• Monitor food quality, presentation and preparation standards in line with company policies

• Manage stock levels, ordering and inventory control to minimise waste and maximise profitability

• Handle customer inquiries, complaints and feedback professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction

• Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations

• Control labour costs and monitor budgets to ensure financial targets are met

• Create and implement promotional activities and marketing initiatives to drive revenue

• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews to maintain high team standards

• Liaise with suppliers and maintain positive business relationships

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years' experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles

• Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including kitchen management and service standards

• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

• Outstanding customer service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction

• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as needed.
