Job Description

We have a newly created opportunity to join AFCA as the Executive Assistant to our Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This is not your typical EA role, you'll be a trusted adviser, proactive operator, and the person who keeps a busy executive, leadership team, and technology function running at their best. As the right-hand person to our CTO, you'll play a critical role in ensuring priorities stay on track and opportunities don't get missed. You'll be the hub connecting leaders, teams, and stakeholders across the business. 

What you'll do: 

• Manage executive diary, ensuring maximum impact and effectiveness.
• Coordinate leadership rhythms including 1:1s, leadership meetings, town halls, business updates and team forums.
• Prepare presentations, reports, communications, and briefing materials.
• Organise leadership meetings end-to-end, including agendas, actions and follow-up.
• Preparing professional executive communications, presentations and reports that support engagement, alignment and decision-making across the organisation.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes, streamline workflows and enhance collaboration through tools such as Microsoft 365, Jira and Confluence.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding activities across the technology function.
• Manage travel arrangements, expenses, invoices, purchase orders and budget administration.
• Drive engagement initiatives, celebrations, team events and recognition activities.
• Anticipate challenges before they arise and proactively solve problems.
• Collaborate closely with AFCA's Executive Assistant community and support broader executive priorities as needed.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who combines strong executive support experience with pace, sound judgement and a genuine partnership mindset.

You'll bring:

• Experience supporting senior executives, ideally within Technology, Digital, Cyber, Data, Transformation or similarly complex environments.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships across all organisational levels.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills and experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce high-quality executive documentation and presentations.
• Outstanding planning, prioritisation and multitasking capabilities.
• Sound judgement, discretion and professionalism when handling confidential information.
• The ability to work independently, anticipate needs and proactively solve problems.
• Resilience, adaptability and a positive, solutions-focused mindset in a changing environment.
