The Opportunity:

Due to sustained growth and a strong forward pipeline of work, Shadforth is seeking Estimators join our Pre-Contracts Team.

Based on the Sunshine Coast, you will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders across civil infrastructure, subdivisions, bulk earthworks and roadworks projects across Queensland and Northern NSW.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering the chance to continue working on large, complex civil projects while enjoying a lifestyle many professionals relocate for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the pricing and preparation of detailed civil tenders
• Review drawings, scope documents and contracts to develop competitive pricing
• Identify risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions
• Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure constructability and methodology alignment
• Engage with subcontractors and suppliers during tender preparation
• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to improving estimating systems

About You:

We are seeking confident and commercially minded civil professionals who can take ownership of estimates and drive outcomes.

You may currently be working as a:
• Estimator
• Project Engineer looking to transition into estimating
• Project Manager with strong pre-contracts exposure

Ideally you will bring:

• Experience pricing civil projects such as subdivisions, bulk earthworks, roadworks or infrastructure
• Strong ability to interpret drawings and develop estimates from first principles
• Experience using estimating or take-off software (Benchmark, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project or similar)
• Strong stakeholder communication skills
• A proactive mindset with the ability to identify cost saving or alternative methodologies
• Experience mentoring junior team members will be highly regarded.
