Shift Supervisor — The Bakery Cooma

We're on the hunt for an experienced hospitality professional to step into a hands-on Shift Supervisor role at The Bakery Cooma — reporting to Jamie, our Operations & Training Manager, who works on-site at Cooma.

You'll run the floor during your shifts: keeping service moving, the team supported, the food flowing, and the checklists actually done properly. You'll be the calm, steady presence the team leans on when it's slammed, and the one who notices what needs doing before anyone has to ask.

We're a small, growing group of four bakeries across the Snowy Monaro region, known for our meat pies, great coffee, and a modern country-kitchen feel. We take pride in what we do — and we look after our team the way we look after our customers.

What the role involves:

• Leading shifts hands-on — serving, coaching, and problem-solving in real time

• Keeping food quality, presentation and speed of service on point through busy periods

• Making sure checklists and standards are genuinely being met, not just signed off

• Supporting Jamie with day-to-day team leadership and training

• Being the go-to person on shift when things get busy

What we need from you:

• Solid hospitality experience — essential

• Barista experience — preferred

• Comfortable with early starts (we open at 5am) — this role works Sunday to Thursday

• Someone who leads by doing, not just delegating

• Friendly, warm, and calm under pressure — that's the vibe we're all about

What we offer:

• Casual role or Part time role, approx. 35 hours/week across 5 shifts (Sun–Thu)

• Pay in line with Grade 3 F&B rates under the Restaurant Industry Award
