Medical Receptionist

We are not looking for a typical receptionist.

We are looking for someone who can run a busy clinical front-of-house environment — keep things moving, think clearly under pressure, and take ownership of outcomes.

Western Respiratory & Sleep is a clinician-led respiratory and sleep practice focused on delivering high-quality patient care while building a high-performance team. As we grow, we are building the next layer of operational leaders from within.

You will rotate across all core reception functions:

- Managing patient flow in a busy clinic environment 

- Handling calls and email triage with speed and accuracy 

- Front desk operations (check-in, payments, bookings) 

- Back-office processing and coordination 

At any given time, you may be:

- Managing multiple patients waiting 

- Handling incoming calls and competing priorities 

- Making decisions to keep the clinic running on time 

This is a fast-paced, structured environment — not a passive admin role.

What We’re Looking For

We do not require prior medical reception experience.

We are looking for someone who:

- Stays calm and decisive under pressure 

- Can prioritise quickly when multiple things are happening at once 

- Takes ownership instead of waiting for instructions 

- Communicates clearly and professionally 

- Has high personal standards and attention to detail 

- Is reliable, consistent, and accountable 

If you get overwhelmed easily or prefer a slow-paced environment, this role will not suit you.

We are currently building the next layer of operational leadership within the clinic.

This role is designed as a development pathway into a future Reception Team Leader position as the business continues to grow.

High-performing team members will be:

- Trained across all reception functions 

- Given increasing responsibility over time 

- Considered first for upcoming leadership roles

- Joondalup (primary) 

- Occasional coverage at Canning Vale
