Inspector, Plumbing - Gas Safety Assurance

About the Role: 

The Inspector, Plumbing - Gas Safety Assurance conducts audits and inspections of gas servicing work to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, codes, and Australian Standards. The role reviews gas servicing records, investigates non-compliance, communicates compliance requirements, undertakes inspections where necessary, exercises regulatory powers, and reports audit outcomes to management.

What we are looking for: 

• Conduct audits and inspections of plumbing and gas work to ensure compliance with Victorian legislation, regulations, codes, local laws, and Australian Standards. 
• Investigate non-compliance issues, gather evidence, issue regulatory notices and orders, and support rectification activities. 
• Prepare audit reports, regulatory correspondence, and case documentation based on risk assessments and compliance findings. 
• Support investigations, legal proceedings, data collection, and records management while maintaining effective stakeholder communication. 
• Collaborate across teams, contribute to industry engagement and continuous improvement initiatives, and support emergency response and regulatory objectives.
