Financial Accountant

About the role:

As an Accountant you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including:

• Monthly reporting and analysis.

• Journals, accruals and prepayments.

• Maintaining the fixed asset register.

• Inventory accounting.

• Cost allocations and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Supporting audits, group reporting and compliance requirements.

• Tax compliance including FBT schedules, income tax schedules for tax‑effect accounting.

• Payment times reporting.

• Business partnering with departments including IT, HR, Production, Digital, Circulation and Events.

About you:

Ideally, you are a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with a genuine passion for accounting and problem-solving. You will bring a proactive mindset, strong analytical skills and commitment to accuracy along with the following attributes:

• Accounting degree and/or working towards CA/CPA completion.

• Experience in a finance or accounting role.

• Strong attention to detail and great time management.

• Able to manage competing deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Flexible, proactive and team‑focused.

• Ability to partner with leaders across the business and maintain good relationships.
