Swim School Weekend Cordinator

Korowa Aquatics is looking for a friendly and reliable Weekend Swim School Coordinator to lead our weekend morning swim school shift.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role for someone who enjoys supporting instructors, helping families and ensuring every class runs safely, smoothly and on time.

Working across the pool deck and reception areas, you will coordinate the day-to-day running of the rostered shift. You will be supported by the Korowa Aquatics Centre Manager, who will remain responsible for major staffing, performance, financial and facility matters.

• Welcome students and families and create a warm, organised environment.

• Coordinate instructors and ensure classes begin safely and on time.

• Provide practical support and guidance to instructors during the shift.

• Assist with student assessments, level progressions and class movements.

• Respond to enquiries about lessons, progress, trials, make-up classes and enrolments.

• Complete attendance, assessment, point-of-sale and shift records.

• Conduct routine pool, safety and facility checks.

• Follow all emergency, incident-reporting and child-safety procedures.

• Keep reception, pool-deck and family areas clean and presentable.

• Refer complex customer, staffing or operational matters to the Centre Manager.

You will be well suited to this role if you:

• Are friendly, dependable and enjoy working with children and families.

• Communicate clearly and remain calm during busy class changeovers.

• Enjoy supporting and encouraging a close-knit team.

• Can provide practical feedback and direction to instructors.

• Take safety and child wellbeing seriously.

• Are organised, approachable and confident solving everyday problems.

• Have experience in a swim school, aquatic, education, sport or customer-service environment.

• Are available for regular weekend morning shifts.

• Current Working with Children Check.

• Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

• AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety, Swim Australia Teacher or an equivalent recognised qualification.

• Assessing and progressing students within a learn-to-swim program.

• Using swim school booking, attendance or assessment systems.

• Reception and point-of-sale experience.

• Pool Lifeguard qualification or Bronze Medallion.

• Previous shift coordination or team leadership experience.
