Experienced Interstate Vehicle Relocation Drivers - Casual Only

Are you an experienced professional driver looking for a change, greater flexibility, or perhaps transitioning into semi-retirement?

We are looking for accomplished heavy vehicle drivers to join our established team, undertaking a variety of local, regional and interstate vehicle relocation assignments.

This opportunity is particularly well suited to experienced drivers who want to remain active in the industry without the commitment of full-time employment. Work averages approximately 2–3 days per week, although this will vary depending on client requirements and your availability.

About the Work

Our company provides professional vehicle relocation services throughout Australia and is trusted to manage vehicle relocations for more than half of Australia’s Kenworth dealership network.

Our work primarily involves the relocation of heavy commercial vehicles and combinations, including:

• Kenworth and other prime movers

• Heavy rigid trucks

• Single trailer combinations

• B-doubles

• Road train combinations

Assignments range from local Melbourne relocations through to long-distance and interstate highway work for selected clients.

Our team consists of approximately 38 experienced drivers located throughout Australia. Our drivers are regularly entrusted with high-value commercial vehicles and represent both our company and our clients while undertaking assignments.

Professionalism, reliability, safety, presentation and attention to detail are fundamental to the way we operate. Our consistent standard of service is why our clients continue to rely on our drivers time and again.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for professional drivers with extensive industry experience, an exemplary driving record and a genuine commitment to doing the job properly.

To be considered, you should have:

• A minimum of 5 years' professional heavy vehicle driving experience

• Experience appropriate to the vehicle combinations you are licensed to operate

• Flexibility for varying work from week to week

• Availability for occasional short-notice local and/or interstate assignments

• Strong communication skills and professional presentation

• The ability to work reliably with minimal supervision

• Good knowledge of Melbourne and surrounding areas

• Confidence using a smartphone and basic computer systems

• A strong commitment to safety, integrity, respect and care

• Mechanical aptitude, which is highly regarded

• Willingness to provide a current Driving History Report

• Willingness to undertake required medical and random drug and alcohol testing

Applicants located in Bayswater, Victoria or surrounding areas will be particularly well positioned for the work.

Who This Opportunity Suits

This is an ongoing casual position, not a full-time role.

It is particularly suited to an experienced career driver who may be semi-retired, transitioning towards retirement, or simply looking to step away from full-time driving while remaining active in the industry.
