About the role

Tyrepower Weipa is looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Administration Assistant to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on and varied role based in our busy Weipa store, supporting the day-to-day administration of the business while helping ensure our workshop and front counter operations run smoothly.

You’ll be one of the first points of contact for our customers, assisting with enquiries, bookings, quotes and general customer service, while also providing administrative support to our workshop team. We’re looking for someone who is confident dealing with customers, has strong attention to detail and can stay organised in a busy environment. You’ll need to be comfortable juggling different priorities throughout the day and working closely with our tyre fitters, mechanics, suppliers and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Answering phones and assisting customers

• Preparing quotes, invoices and purchase orders

• Booking vehicles in for tyre and mechanical work

• Processing customer payments

• Managing emails and general office administration

• Ordering stock and liaising with suppliers

• Maintaining accurate customer and job records

• Assisting with stock control and workshop scheduling

• Supporting the Store Manager and workshop team as required

About you

• Is organised and able to manage multiple tasks

• Has strong communication and customer service skills

• Is confident using computers and learning new systems

• Has good attention to detail

• Can work independently and as part of a small team

• Is reliable, positive and willing to get involved

• Has previous administration, accounts or customer service experience – preferred but not essential

• Experience within the automotive, tyre, mechanical or trade industry would be highly regarded, but training can be provided for the right person
