Accounting Administration and Receptionist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Administrator and Receptionist to join our small yet dynamic team at AJW Miles and Son. This is a part-time position based in Mayfield. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and receptionist support to our accounting team, including the preparation of basic individual tax returns.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming clients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner

• Providing administrative support to our accounting team, including filing, data entry, and document preparation

• Assisting with the processing of financial documents and records

• Assist with the onboarding of new clients and monitor outstanding tasks to ensure timely completion of work and deadlines are met

• Deal with government departments including the ATO, ASIC and Office of State Revenue

• Preparation of basic taxation returns for individuals

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Receptionist or in a similar administrative role, preferably within an accounting environment is essential

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients, colleagues, and management in a professional and courteous manner

• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure

• A working knowledge of ATO documents and systems is highly regarded

• Proficiency in using standard office software, such as Microsoft Office suite

• Experience using Xero XPM, Nowinfinity, ATOMate, Suitefiles and Trello would be an advantage
