QBH - Maintenance Planner

Queensland Bulk Handling (QBH) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team. This role will be responsible for providing safe, timely and cost-effective maintenance for assets at Queensland Bulk Handling. 

 About Us 

Queensland Bulk Handling (QBH) is Brisbane’s leading bulk handling facility, wholly owned by New Hope Group. Commissioned in 1983, the facility has a reputation as a bulk handling export terminal with an excellent safety record. 

Located at the Port of Brisbane, you'll become part of a dedicated team committed to excellence. 

Responsibilities: 

• Monitors maintenance work performed at the QBH operation and ensures that it is carried out safely, efficiently and effectively in accordance with good maintenance practices. 
• Schedules maintenance activities to take advantage of the windows of opportunity in the operations schedules to keep equipment optimally maintained. 
• Ensures that correct parts and labour are available to meet scheduled maintenance work as required. 
• Determines the need for repairs and replacements and assists the Operations Superintendent with information on cost effective methods of service delivery. 
• Performs short term and medium-term planning and organisation work as required by the Operations Superintendent. 
• Maintenance of the ERP system including PM schedules, work order management and quality of information. 

About you 

• Mechanical Trade Qualified 
• Maintenance Planning experience in Fixed Plant preferred but not essential 
• Extensive experience in ERP platforms 
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment 
• Positive attitude and commitment to safety 
• Possession of an open driver’s license and eligibility to obtain a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC)
