We are on the hunt for a resilient & reliable Support Worker for our Client in Baringa who experiences challenges with mobility.

Our Client is a friendly and spiritual gentleman who enjoys the simple things in life. Following a stroke, our client experiences left-sided weakness and lives with depression and anxiety. He values consistency, respect, and support workers who can provide encouragement while respecting his independence and personal space.

We are looking for someone who can support our client with the following, personal care, community access if required. Manual handling & transfers, daily living tasks and emotional support.

Shifts Available:

• Monday's 9:30am to 2:30pm

• Friday's 9:30am to 2:30pm

We are looking for someone with availability across varies days, and someone who is comfortable to support when urgent shifts arise. Opportunity for hours to increase.

QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $37.35, Evening $40.11, Night $41.20, Saturday $50.96, Sunday $65.59, Public Holidays $80.01 (sorry, rate not negotiable). 

We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions where required, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having the assurance of consistency of Clients you support. You have a comprehensive suite of online learning to support you and face to face learnings.

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:

• To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered

• Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist

• Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client’s needs

• Provide support to our Clients as required

• Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner

• Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required

• Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients

• To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals

To be successful you must:

• Resonate with the role description above

• Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives

• Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia

• Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card

• Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
