Support Worker

Disability Support Worker – | South Yarra

Livability Services is seeking a compassionate, reliable and physically active Disability Support Worker to provide individual support to a client in South Yarra.

Shifts

This casual position currently includes two regular weekly shifts:

• Monday afternoon

• Friday morning

Applicants must be consistently available for both shifts.

About the role

You will provide respectful, person-centred support that promotes the client’s wellbeing, independence and participation in everyday life.

The successful applicant will understand mental health and psychosocial support and be able to build a positive, trusting relationship with the client. The role requires someone who communicates clearly, remains calm and patient, and can provide reliable support while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

About you

You will ideally have:

• Experience supporting people with mental health or psychosocial needs

• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills

• A calm, patient and empathetic approach

• The physical capacity to safely perform the inherent requirements of the role

• The ability to build trust while maintaining professional boundaries

• Reliability and consistent availability

• A Certificate III or IV in Mental Health, Disability Support, Individual Support or a related field—highly regarded but not essential

Essential requirements

The successful applicant must have, or be willing to obtain:

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Appropriate working rights in Australia
