Concrete Crew Leaders - Landsdale or Maddington

About the role

Dowsing is seeking experienced Concrete Crew Leaders to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Landsdale or Maddington, WA this is a leadership position within our concrete operations. As a Concrete Crew Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing concrete placement, finishing, and quality control on various construction projects. This role is pivotal to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards whilst managing and motivating your team effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise concrete crews on site, ensuring all team members work safely and efficiently

• Oversee concrete placement, finishing, and curing operations in accordance with specifications and best practices

• Monitor work quality and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with project requirements and standards

• Communicate effectively with project managers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders regarding progress and any issues

• Ensure all health and safety protocols are adhered to and maintain a safe working environment for your team

• Manage materials, tools, and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance requirements

• Train and mentor crew members, providing guidance on techniques and safety procedures

• Complete site documentation, including daily logs and reports as required

• Troubleshoot technical issues and make on-site decisions to resolve problems and maintain project momentum

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Concrete Crew Leader or in a similar supervisory role within the concrete or construction industry

• Strong knowledge of concrete placement, finishing, and curing techniques and best practices

• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and manage teams effectively

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders

• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to maintaining safe working practices

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual duties as required

• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• A valid driver's licence is preferred

• Relevant qualifications or certifications in concrete work, supervision, or construction safety are advantageous
