Assistant Store Manager

Our cafes are a Melbourne staple when it comes to French quality products with a 30+ year history of providing beautiful cakes, scrumptious pastries and mouthwatering sandwiches to our customers.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Manager Laurent Bakery, you will work collaboratively with the Store Manager in our fast-paced cafes. Your life will never be dull as our customers love us and we love them! Pop in and see our busy cafe and share in the ambience. We are known for fantastic coffee, amazing French cakes and pastries all handmade, and a great customer experience. We are looking for someone who is passionate about people, loves leading a team to excellence and thrives in a busy environment. Oh and you must genuinely love hospo, like we do!

What you will be doing

• Delivering an exceptional customer experience showing your team how it is done

• Coaching and leading the cafe team to deliver a fabulous customer experience

• Managing operational and service flow for seamless service

• Resolving any customer issues professionally and with a smile!

• Supporting daily store operations from the floor leading and motivating your team

• Assisting the Store Manager with stock control, ordering, waste management, rostering to achieve store targets

• Ability to coach store teams on upselling and cross selling to help achieve sales goals

• Opening and closing the cafe
