Temporary Works Engineer / Scaffold Designer

Cava Scaffold Solutions is a leading Tier 1 scaffolding company based in South East Queensland. As our company continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Temporary Works Engineer / Scaffold Designer to join our team in a hybrid engineering and design role, with an immediate start available.

This position offers the opportunity to work on major Tier 1 construction projects, providing both engineering and scaffold design services. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, drafting, coordination, and documentation of temporary works and scaffolding solutions, producing high-quality drawings suitable for RPEQ certification and construction.

The role is primarily office-based, with occasional site visits required to verify design requirements and ensure the accuracy of constructed scaffold installations.

Key responsibilities

· Design and draft scaffolding and temporary works in 2D and 3D.

· Produce accurate, clear, and detailed construction drawings.

· Develop scaffold designs suitable for RPEQ certification.

· Coordinate and manage scaffolding design documentation across multiple projects.

· Liaise with clients, project managers, site supervisors, and other engineering professionals.

· Conduct site inspections and provide technical support where required.

· Assist with general design and office administration activities.

Skills and experience

· RPEQ certification (essential).

· Proven experience in scaffolding design and temporary works engineering.

· High proficiency in scaffold design software such as iScaff or similar 3D CAD software.

· Strong knowledge of proprietary scaffold systems, with Ringlock experience preferred.

· Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.

· Comprehensive understanding of Australian scaffolding standards, temporary works requirements, and industry best practice.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
