Scaffold Designer / CAD Draftsperson Position

CGH Scaffold is seeking an experienced Scaffold Designer or skilled AutoCAD Draftsperson to join our Adelaide-based team. This position would suit either someone with experience designing various scaffold systems or an experienced construction draftsperson who is interested in being trained in scaffold design.

Working closely with our estimating, operations and engineering teams, you will produce practical scaffold drawings for commercial, residential and industrial projects across Adelaide.

Scaffold experience is highly regarded; however, comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate with strong AutoCAD skills and construction knowledge.

The person should ideally:

• Be highly competent in AutoCAD.

• Read architectural, structural and construction drawings.

• Produce scaffold layouts, elevations, sections and detailed drawings.

• Understand buildability, access, loading bays, stretcher stairs, internal voids and edge protection.

• Communicate with estimators, supervisors, clients and your temporary works engineer.

• Conduct occasional site inspections and measurements.

• Revise drawings following client and engineering feedback.

• Understand Australian construction and WHS requirements—or be willing to learn them.

• Have scaffold experience, a scaffolding ticket or temporary-works experience as an advantage, but not necessarily essential.
