To strengthen our team, and in pursuit of new business opportunities, we are seeking an experienced Junior Civil Estimator for our Renewable Energy Business Unit in Sydney.
About the Role
Preparing detailed cost estimates for construction projects using estimating software and industry-standard toolsAnalysing project drawings, specifications and tender documents to identify scope and requirementsResearching and sourcing material and labour costs from suppliers and subcontractorsAssisting in the compilation of tender submissions and bid documentationCommunicating with project managers, architects and clients to clarify project details and specificationsMaintaining accurate records and databases of historical cost data and estimating informationSupporting the senior estimating team with project analysis and feasibility assessmentsLearning and applying company estimating procedures and methodologies

About You
A qualification in Construction, Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experienceStrong numeracy skills and attention to detail with the ability to work accurately with complex dataProficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication skillsThe ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative teamA genuine interest in the construction industry and a commitment to developing estimating expertiseStrong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyFamiliarity with estimating software or building information modelling (BIM) is desirableA willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
