Technical Sales and Support

About the role

Due to continuing growth, Dredging Solutions is looking for a technical sales representative to take ownership of the GeoFlow™ dewatering tube business. This role will cover a range of responsibilities across sales, customer service and product development. The role would suit someone with a hands-on background in the water industry, with a drive to work in sales. There is an opportunity for the successful candidate to progress into project engineering and management.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and secure business opportunities and grow the client base

• Follow up on referrals, web leads and industry contacts

• Reply to customer enquiries and prepare quotations

• Manage customer orders and ensure they are dispatched efficiently

• Monitor stock levels and liaise with the factory for new orders

• Provide after sales support and on-site assistance

• Represent Dredging Solutions at conferences and other industry events

• Keep informed of competitor and industry activity

• Develop deep product knowledge to be able to make recommendations to clients on customised solutions

• Interstate travel will be required from time to time, in addition to regional visits

About you

• Experience in the water or related industry

• Experience in a similar role would be an advantage

• Ideal role for Environmental graduate

• Strong work ethic, self-motivated and results driven

• Ability to work autonomously and as an effective team player

• Exceptional customer service and communication skills in order to interact with a wide range of stakeholders

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications

• Current Australian driver's licence

• Current forklift licence, or a willingness to obtain a licence

• Unrestricted right to work in Australia
