Disability Support Workers

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers to provide quality support to participants in Nowra, Shoalhaven Heads and Kangaroo Valley areas

Are you a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Support Worker who takes pride in providing meaningful care? AvisCare is seeking dedicated Support Workers and Team Leaders to join our growing team in permanent part-time and casual roles.

Your Role 

You will provide high-quality, person-centred support that promotes independence, inclusion, and wellbeing. No two days are the same, making every shift both rewarding and meaningful. 

Typical responsibilities include: 

• Personal care and manual handling 

• Medication assistance and mealtime support 

• Domestic assistance and transportation 

• Supporting social participation and community access 

• Building positive and trusting relationships with clients, families, and support networks 
  

What We're Looking For 

• Experience supporting people living with disability (especially in home or community settings)

• Genuine empathy, patience, and professionalism 

• Ability to commit to regular and ongoing shifts 

• Flexibility to support a variety of clients and environments 

• Strong communication and teamwork skills 

Requirements 

We welcome candidates who already hold the following qualifications and clearances, or are willing to obtain them: 

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• Police Clearance

• Current First Aid Certificate

• COVID-19 Vaccination

• Manual Handling training (desirable)

• Certificate III (or higher) in Individual Support or similar (desirable)

• Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle

• Full working rights in Australia
