Receptionist | Springfield

We’re looking for a friendly, organised and reliable Receptionist to join our busy Springfield clinic on a casual basis, working approximately 10–15 hours per week.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to build their administration and customer service experience within a supportive allied health setting.

About the Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you’ll play an important role in creating a welcoming and positive experience from the moment they walk through our doors.

You’ll work as part of an experienced reception team while also being confident working independently when required. The role will involve a mix of front desk reception, patient administration and supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the clinic.

This is a casual position offering approximately 10–15 hours per week, with shifts available across:

• Monday
• Thursday
• Fortnightly Saturday mornings, approximately 7:30am–12:30pm
• Shifts may fall anywhere between 7:15am and 6:30pm

Flexibility and availability across these days will be highly regarded.
Opportunity to Progress For the right person, there may be an opportunity to progress into a Senior Receptionist / 2IC position in the future.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming patients and managing front desk reception and check-in
• Answering phone and email enquiries in a friendly and professional manner
• Scheduling and managing patient appointments
• Processing HICAPS, Medicare and EFTPOS transactions
• Managing referrals and correspondence
• Assisting with diary management
• Maintaining accurate patient records and completing data entry
• Completing end-of-day reconciliation
• Providing a high level of customer service to patients and referrers
• Working collaboratively with the wider clinic team

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, approachable and professional
• Organised and reliable with great attention to detail
• Confident communicating with patients, clinicians and other stakeholders
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work independently while also contributing positively to a team
• Flexible and willing to learn new systems and processes
• Previous reception or administration experience is preferred, but not essential – we’re happy to train the right person!
