Mechanics x2 – Full-Time & Casual | Rainbow Beach, QLD

About Us

Dingo's K'gari Adventures runs 4WD tag-along and guided tours onto K'gari (Fraser Island). Our Rainbow Beach workshop keeps a fleet of Toyota LandCruiser 100 Series, 105 Series and Prados running hard across sand tracks and beach driving, seven days a week. We're part of Australian Adventure Group, operating across seven locations nationally.

The Roles

We're growing the workshop team and have two positions available:

1. Mechanic – Full Time (Permanent)
Ongoing role, 38 hours per week on a rotating roster that includes weekend work. Annual leave, sick leave and super. Best suited to someone wanting stability and a long-term run with us.

2. Mechanic – Casual
Regular hours available across the week and weekends, with 25% casual loading in place of leave entitlements. Suits someone who wants flexibility, or who's after extra work around other commitments.

Both roles do the same work — the difference is how you want to be engaged. Tell us in your application which one you're after, or if you're open to either.

Why Weekends Matter Here

Tours depart daily. Vehicles come off the island Friday and Sunday and need turning around fast for the next departure. Our busiest maintenance windows aren't Monday to Friday, so weekend availability is essential for both roles.

What You'll Be Doing

• Scheduled servicing and repairs across the LandCruiser and Prado fleet

• Post-beach inspections, corrosion checks

• Diagnostics and fault-finding — suspension, driveline, brakes, cooling

• Pre-departure checks and turnaround work between tours

• Tyre work, fluid changes and general workshop duties

• Logging work accurately in Fleetio

• Occasional on-island breakdown response and recovery support

What You'll Bring

• Trade qualification in Automotive Mechanical Technology (or strong relevant experience)

• Toyota 4WD experience an advantage

• Availability to work weekends as part of a regular roster

• Own basic hand tools

• Current driver's licence

• Ability to work at pace without cutting corners
