Axis is seeking a motivated and professional health practitioner to join our team as a Casual Pre-Employment Screening Assessor in Castlemaine, Victoria. Conveniently located just 35 minutes from Bendigo and approximately one hour from Melbourne's western suburbs, this role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work within a growing occupational health environment.

About the Role

As a Pre-Employment Screening Assessor, you will conduct functional and physical capacity assessments for candidates across a range of industries. Your expertise will play an important role in ensuring employees can safely perform the inherent requirements of their roles and helping organisations create healthier, safer workplaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-employment functional capacity assessments.
• Perform musculoskeletal and movement screening assessments.
• Accurately document assessment findings and prepare professional reports.
• Ensure assessments are conducted in accordance with best practice standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Communicate effectively with candidates, clients, and key stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Current registration as a Physiotherapist with AHPRA, or accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with ESSA.
• Experience in occupational health, workplace rehabilitation, injury management, or functional assessments (preferred).
• Strong observational, analytical, and assessment skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• The ability to work independently and manage appointments efficiently.
• A current driver's licence and reliable transport.
