Payroll & Workforce Administrator
Permanent Part-Time | 22.5 Hours per Week | Flexible Working Arrangements
Are you a payroll professional who loves getting the details right?
We're looking for an experienced and highly organised Payroll & Workforce Administrator to take ownership of our payroll function and provide valuable administrative support.
This is more than just processing payroll. You'll be the trusted expert who ensures our people are paid accurately and on time, awards are interpreted correctly, records are maintained with precision, and employees receive outstanding support when they need it.

What You'll Be Doing
Payroll
Process end-to-end payroll for employees across Australia.
Accurately interpret and apply relevant Awards, including the Road Transport and Distribution Award and Clerks Award.
Manage timesheet imports, payroll adjustments, leave calculations, allowances, and employee changes.
Ensure compliance with Fair Work, ATO, PAYG and Superannuation requirements.
Prepare and reconcile payroll reports.
Manage payroll-related employee enquiries professionally and confidentially.
Administration Support
Maintain employee records and documentation.
Support onboarding, employment changes and offboarding administration.
Assist with administrative reporting and compliance activities including the coordination of documentation and department policies.
Work closely with HR and Finance to ensure seamless employee and payroll processes.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve payroll efficiency and accuracy.
Keep up to date with payroll legislation and award changes.
Utilise payroll system functionality and reporting tools to streamline processes.
About You
You'll be a self-starter who enjoys working independently and takes ownership of your responsibilities.
Ideally, You'll Bring:
Proven payroll experience in a medium-sized business environment.
Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation and award interpretation.
Experience working with Access MicrOpay, TMS, or similar payroll systems.
Previous exposure to HR administration or employee lifecycle processes.
Strong Excel, Microsoft Office and systems skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A positive, proactive and solutions-focused approach.
Bonus Points For:
Experience within transport, logistics or a multi-site workforce environment.
Certificate IV in Payroll Administration or similar qualification.
Experience interpreting the Road Transport and Distribution Award.
